The Wikipedia definition of BEZEL is “A band of metal containing a groove” so it’s a name that fit’s the sound of the band.
Since the 2014 release of their self-titled debut CD the band BEZEL have shared the stage with music legends Michael Schenker’s Temple of Rock, Pat Travers, Kings X, Queensryche, Lynch Mob, Blackfoot, Lillian Axe, Junkyard, Cheetah Chrome, Diamond Head, Joe Lynn Turner, Alcatrazz, The Graham Bonnet Band, Andy Timmons, Uli Jon Roth, and Saxon. Consisting of four veteran musicians who bring with them extensive musical experiences that have taken them from Texas to Tokyo, Los Angeles and back, each band member has definitely paid their dues in learning their craft. When these four musicians got together to create original music it quickly became obvious that there was definitely something in the air. With a new, unique and wide ranging sound BEZEL manages to own their influences while avoiding tired clichés and instead breathing fresh new life into the music. Since the debut CD was entirely written, recorded, produced and mixed by the band, BEZEL was able to stay true to their vision of the finished product without outside influences. Fresh sounding quality guitar rock that doesn’t sound like anything you’ve heard before! No auto-tune, no sequencers, no drum machines, just real musicians laying down real music. Vocalist Kevin Dell Greer has been a mainstay on the Dallas music scene for over 25 years. Trained in the Julliard style, with a firm foot in hard rock, Kevin has shared the stage with various artists, such as The Scorpions, Motley Crue, Pantera, Pat Travers and Bruce Dickinson. Having plied his craft with the bands, Thorn and Strangers, he brings the “harder edge” to Bezel.

Guitarist Keith Oliver has been playing the Dallas area for many years. Recording original material early in his career, Keith later became widely recognized as a premier cover and variety band guitarist taking him from Texas to Japan and back. Keith serves as the perfect guitarist for Bezel due to his tone, palette of sounds, and his passion for creating original music.

Bassist Mike Herrel has shared the stage and studio with many well known recording artists including Bela Fleck and The Flecktones, Shadowfax, and many others. Mike brings a deep groove to the Bezel rhythm section. His low end offering is an ever-widening display of bass harmony and melody.

Drummer Kurtis Lawrence’s powerhouse drumming has been developed through years of experience as a first call drummer for top players throughout the DFW area. From straight ahead jazz, to reggae, to rock, he has held down the pocket while adding his own spice from his impressive arsenal of skills. Bringing his masterful chops to the party serves to supercharge the heavy grooves of the Bezel machine!
